ADVENTURES IN THE BALEARIC ISLANDS

Right along with spring's arrival, the Balearic Islands’ Day is celebrated all over the touristic island’s’ streets. The festivities began Friday 26th to commemorate The Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands declarated on March 1st 1983.

Aiming to exalt the island’s’ traditional anniversary Mallorca, Cabrera, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera organized all kinds of events, from sports to children entertainment. Looking forward to making locals and tourist enjoying the occasion they offered activities like popular games, opened door hospitals, lectures, agriculture/tourism routes, races and some local food markets.

For art and architecture lovers, there were free museums and architectural tours to admire the beauty of the cities. The Museum and the Cathedral of Mallorca, Palma City Council and the Castell de Bellver had all free entrance. We couldn’t miss wearing a boho chic look accordingly to the greatness of our surroundings.

If you’re passionate for movies and the theater, then you must enjoy the Microteatre per palmarès in Palma Arena and the movie blockbusters. Movie addicts recommend “Tenemos Que Hablar” for those who like romantic comedies and “Brooklyn” for the dramatics.

Our favorite activities from the entire celebration were the concerts, specially the gastroconcerts. And of course we fell in love with the local artisans who took out their precious jewels in the Mercadet d'oficis artesans.
