It's summer in Miami, and that means that the sun's hot enough to cook an egg on a pedestrian sidewalk. You know--like in the movies and tv shows? Not that we've actually ever tried it but hey, the summer's young.
Luckily for us and for you, that usually isn't the first activity that crosses our mind at the sight of clear skies and rising temperatures. That's right. We're talking about the beach. The only place where the sweltering sun could be channeled into some serious good times and memory-making. But before you get there, you're going to need a few things. Ready?
2. Load your favorite beach bag with necessities: sunscreen, a beach towel, sunglasses, snacks (yum), an ipod and headphones, and a good book.
3. Dress appropriately. Prints are everywhere. Be bold and embrace them on your bikini and flip flops.
4. And most importantly--though we may be biased--accessorize! Though, keep jewelry to a minimum to avoid bad tan lines or loosing it in a heated game of marco polo. A wrap with nautical elements, like the one pictured above, is both casual and easy to wear.
5. HAVE A BLAST.
What are your must-haves for the beach, passionistas? We'd love to hear 'em.
